A step towards INDEPENDENCE
The PPL(A) licence is the first and therefore the most important step on the pilot's development path. It authorises non-commercial flight operations using light aircraft up to 5700 kg. These include Cirrus Aircraft, which will take you and your family to the snowy Swiss slopes or sunny Croatian beaches in 3 hours. You choose your destination!
More about usAero Poznań The only such centre in Europe
Training for the PPL(A) licence at the Aero Poznań Centre is based on an original curriculum that allows, in parallel mode, to combine theoretical and practical classes. This enables faster and more complete assimilation of knowledge and effective building of correct flying habits.
Because we have a very good relationship with our clients, we understand that they have a number of different commitments in addition to their flight training. For this reason, we strive to make the training schedule flexible and tailored to each student’s calendar.
Depending on the availability of the student, training lasts between three and six months. During this time, we deliver 30 sessions, the timing of which we consult on an ongoing basis. During the course, the student has 120 hours at the instructor’s disposal. 45 of these are spent flying the aircraft. Another 5 are spent in a state-of-the-art full-motion simulator. The remaining time is spent on ground training. In addition, each student receives access to an e-learning platform. Training can be carried out at the main Aero Poznań centre at Poznań Ławica airport, or alternatively at the Warsaw branch at Babice airport. On request, we also offer classes with a flight to the client.
Why is it worth having a plane with a PPL(A) licence?
Theoretical part
Theoretical training is delivered in one-to-one sessions with an instructor and in self-directed work using an e-learning platform. In addition, newly acquired knowledge is immediately implemented during parallel practical training. Students can count on the support of Aero Poznan trainers at all times. Aero Poznan trainers, especially the lead instructor. His or her task is to constantly supervise the student’s progress and ensure that he or she feels well prepared for the next class.

Practical part
The practical classes consist of 45 hours of flight exercises on a Cirrus SR20 aircraft. In addition, during the sessions we use the Cirrus SR2x Series full-motion simulator, which faithfully reflects the interior of the aircraft and realistically replicates its in-flight behaviour. We use it to thoroughly practice aspects relating to the operation of avionics and safety systems.
Among other things, instructors teach how to react to emergency situations and how to activate the safety parachute for the entire CAPS® aircraft, which every aircraft used by our centre is equipped with.
As a result, in one training course for the PPL(A), the student also completes the Cirrus Transition Training programme and the Emergency Survival Course – Basic.
One training course, 3 certificates
When training for your licence at our centre, you additionally receive useful knowledge from the Cirrus Transition Training Course and Emergency Survival Course.
The first confirms a high level of familiarity with Cirrus SR series aircraft, which is often required by aircraft rental companies or insurance companies. The second provides a valuable lesson in the use of the safety systems that the Cirrus SR is equipped with. Cirrus and its partner centres are the only ones in the world to take care of every aspect of training under the revolutionary Cirrus Appraoch philosophy.
