CAPS Basic Training for Cirrus SR Pilots
One of the biggest differentiators of the aircraft produced by Cirrus Aircraft is the rescue parachute system for the entire aircraft – CAPS (Cirrus Airframe Parachute System). According to statistics, it is one of the most effective mechanisms for rescuing the crew from distress, regardless of whether the cause of the failure was a technical fault or the danger resulted from an error made by the pilot.
During ESC – CAPS Basic training, dedicated to pilots of older Cirrus SR models with Avidyne avionics, we will focus on an in-depth understanding of the parachute system and practice its activation in various scenarios on the Cirrus SR Series simulator.
