The Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet simulator at the Aero Poznan Pilot Training Centre is an innovative training tool that allows future pilots to explore the mysteries of flying this advanced jet. It is the only simulator of its kind available in this part of the world, making the Aero Poznan centre the only place in Europe that allows advanced training related to flying the Cirrus Vision Jet.

Developed by CKAS engineers in Melbourne, Australia, the Cirrus SF50 simulator is equipped with the latest technology to simulate the flight of a real Vision Jet. The pilot is able to experience the full range of features and systems, from an accurate representation of the cabin interior to the advanced Garmin Perspective Touch cockpit. Of particular note is the CAPS (Cirrus Airframe Parachute System) function, which allows the pilot to simulate an emergency parachute opening and associated procedures.

Aero Poznan also provides Vision Jet Type Rating. Highly experienced trainers deliver intensive programmes that enable pilots to become fully qualified and certified to fly this jet. Type Rating training focuses on advanced procedures, avionics systems management, operational piloting and all other aspects related to the safe and efficient use of the Cirrus Vision Jet – and the Cirrus SF50 simulator becomes the perfect complement.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the simulator provides a realistic flying experience, and a perfect reproduction of the interior of the SR Series aircraft.

Thanks to the use of original parts, the cockpit of the Cirrus SR Series simulator offers the full range of features found in a real aircraft. Real components, such as instruments, control levers and panels, allow aspiring pilots to familiarise themselves and gain the necessary experience before moving on to real-world flying. The electronic systems and avionics have also been accurately replicated, allowing future pilots to practice safely without taking off from the ground, and therefore learn key procedures freely, including activating CAPS – the parachute system for the entire aircraft.

The Cirrus SR Series simulator at Aero Poznań’s pilot training centre allows a variety of training scenarios to be rehearsed, reflecting in-flight situations. These include night flights, emergency situations, but also take-offs and landings. The training staff can adjust the relevant simulation parameters so that weather conditions change, simulated emergencies occur – providing students with both a challenge and an opportunity to practice safely in a wide variety of situations.
