The May edition of the COPA Pilot Proficiency Program in Aero Poznań is behind us! Training, sharing experiences, and discovering Poznań – this is how we can sum up this year’s event, which brought together Cirrus pilots from around the world. See what this unique gathering in the heart of Greater Poland looked like!
This May, Aero Poznań once again became a meeting place for Cirrus pilots as part of the COPA Pilot Proficiency Program (CPPP). This event is open to all Cirrus pilots, regardless of experience level, and every year it attracts people eager to develop their skills, broaden their knowledge, and share their passion for aviation.
The program is organized by the Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association (COPA), an international association of Cirrus owners and pilots, which promotes the highest safety standards and continuous development of aviation skills. The CPPP is a series of events held at the world’s best Cirrus Aircraft authorized training centers.
Comprehensive Training and Practical Knowledge
During this year’s event, participants took part in a broad program of workshops and lectures led by experienced instructors from Aero Poznań and COPA University. The topics covered included automation management, modern performance-based navigation (PBN), safety statistics, abnormal and emergency procedures, fuel mixture management, electrical systems, engine data analysis, and the use of weather information in flight. This variety allowed every participant to develop their skills, regardless of their previous experience.
Integration, Exchange of Experiences, and Discovering Poznań
CPPP is not only about learning – it’s also a great opportunity to build relationships and connect with other aviation enthusiasts. This year, pilots from Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia, Latvia, Croatia, Ukraine, and China visited Poznań. The international atmosphere fostered networking, knowledge sharing, and inspiring conversations.
Participants also had the opportunity to explore Poznań together, walking down its most important streets and visiting key sites significant to the history of Poland and the region. Poznań’s hospitality and local traditions made this aviation gathering even more memorable. Evening networking sessions and shared dinners created a friendly space to share flying experiences and build lasting friendships.
See You Next Year!
We would like to thank all participants, instructors, and partners for their presence, active involvement, and excellent atmosphere. We are already looking forward to the next edition of the COPA Pilot Proficiency Program at Aero Poznań – the date of next year’s event will be announced soon. See you there!
