PROMO: Cirrus Landing Clinic Course – boost your confidence

Takeoffs are optional, landings are mandatory! This old aviation saying will always remain the truth. An there is no bigger pilot’s self-confidence booster than a perfect landing in challenging conditions. However, only very few pilots feel comfortable in all kinds of situations. Even though one can acceptably and repeatedly perform a smooth touchdown on a runway of a standard length, difficulties with perfect landing in a touchdown zone and the centerline or maintaining the roll-out are still very common among GA pilots. And this is just a beginning.

In this course, we cover all types of standard and non-standard landings, including short and really very short runways (600 meters in actual conditions), grass runways, as well as crosswind landings and many others. Practicing landings requires takeoffs and occasionally go-arounds so will practice them as well. There is no other course that can rapidly improve your aviation self-esteem than Cirrus Landing Clinic.

Cirrus Landing Clinic covers:

• Normal landing
• Landing on a short and very short runway
• Landing on an unpaved/uneven runway
• Landing from above an obstacle

Curriculum

LECTURE (videoconference) – presentation of approach and landing procedures from the view of aircraft energy condition and its management in different phases and situations. Among others, the instructor will present why performing a flat approach while landing on a short runway is a typical mistake and is not recommended.  

FLIGHT TRAINING will be conducted using EPPO airport and other aerodromes located nearby: EPZG Babimost, EPZP Przylep, EPLU Lubin, EPZE Zerniki, and other. Flight training will include not only landing practice but also different kinds of takeoffs and missed approaches. One of the training goals is to show how proper distribution of visual attention is essential for successful and safe approaches and landings.
